HALKI

Halki is a small, rough, dry island in the Dodecanese, very near to the west coast of Rhodes. The island’s port is in the main village, Hora or Halki, which happens to be the only inhabited village on the island. There are several gorgeous beaches reachable by foot or boat.

Pontamos is the only beach with sand; all the others are mostly pebbled. Ftenagia is one of the very few beaches where you may find sunbeds and umbrellas for rent as well as a tavern to enjoy lunch or dinner by the sea.

Passenger routes connect Halki with Rhodes and less frequently with Kos, Kalimnos and Nisyros.
