SPETSES

Spetses is a very popular small island in the gulf of Argolida.

Both of the island's ports, Dapia and the old port, are in the capital, also called Spetses, serving the continuous arrivals of visitors reaching the  island by passenger or private vessels.

Wander around the narrow alleys and the paved streets by the sea of an island where car use are forbidden.

There are several types of beaches on all sides of the island and most of them can by accessed only by boat.

Several annual shipping-related events take place in Spetses because of the island's rich naval history and tradition. Every September, numerous visitors arrive to witness the celebration of Armata, the recreation of a famous sea-battle that took place in Spetses.

Passenger routes connect Spetses with Piraeus daily. There also are frequent connections to Hydra, Poros and Hermioni.
