TILOS

Tilos is a relatively small island of the Dodecanese located between Nisyros, Rhodes and Halki.

The island’s port in Livadia village stands beneath the medieval castle of Agiosikia. The are two more villages on the island, Megalo Horio, which is the Capital and Agios Antonios.

Tilos is a very fertile island due to its’ fresh water deposits and that of course enables the locals to cultivate fruit and vegetables as well as breed animals, making the island a, potentially, self-sustaining settlement.

There are 7 castles on an island that is home to multiple species of flora and fauna and in combination with its’ numerous churches they give visitors a feeling that Tilos has not changed over time. With a cultural heritage as rich as its scenery it is the perfect destination for anyone who wants to witness Greece of older, simpler, times.

Passenger routes connect Tilos to Piraeus and Rhodes.
