It’s in the Tyrrhenian Sea, under the shade of Mount Vesuvius. It belongs to the Campania region and is a commune in the Metropolitan City of Naples. The city is built on the remains of the ancient city of Stabiae that was vanished from the volcano. It is also known as the “Metropolis of the waters” because healing water runs from 28 different thermal springs in the city.
