Tremiti, at Diomedes' islands

Tremiti is an archipelago in the Adriatic Sea, in the Puglia region, that consists of 5 islands: San Nicola, San Domino, Capraia, Cretaccio and Pianosa. They are part of the Gargano National Park and only San Nicola and San Domino are inhabited. Tremiti islands are also known as “Τhe islands of Diomedes” because, according to mythology, the hero of the Trojan War lived, died and was buried on San Nicola. There are two ports on the archipelago, on San Nicola and on San Domino.
