Kimolos lies on the northeast of Milos. It is almost attached to it, and yet is another world. Most of the island’s tourism is day-trippers from Pollonia, Milos. The island’s port is Psathi, 1 ½ km away from the island’s capital Hora.A picturesque medieval castle at the heart of the small town dominates the landscape. Paleocastro is a fortress built on a 364 m-high cliff, at the centre of the island.

From Psathi, small tourist boats go to the island’s beaches. In both settlements, there are small tavernas, cafes, and rooms to let.

There are boats daily to and from Pollonia, Milos. Six times a week there is connection to Piraeus via Sifnos, Serifos and Kythnos.

The island is connected regularly to Syros, Folegandros, Sikinos and even to Paros and Santorini.
