What to see:

  • Psathi is the quiet port of Kimolos. You will not see the crowds and the touristic shops you would normally see in other ports here.
  • Horio is the main village with a picturesque architecture, byzantine-styled churches and small flowery squares. Mesa and Exo Kastro, two medieval settlements where locals used to hide from pirates, are among the top attractions of Kimolos.

  • The Metropolitan Cathedral of Panagia Odigitria is decorated by the famous icon painter Fotis Kontoglou.
  • Skiadi is a famous mushroom-shaped rock, a natural sculpture created by different kind of rocks and the strong winds. It is part of the Atlas of Geological Monuments of the Aegean.
