• The Aragonese Tower was built in 1325, it has an octagonal shape and you can find it at the entrance of the port.
• The Basilica of San Gavino is a perfect example of roman architecture and it is actually the biggest of its kind in Sardinia.
• The Museum of the Antiquarium Turritano has findings from the ancient city Turris Libisonis which was founded by Julius Caesar. At the site you can also see the bridge that was built here more than 2000 years ago.
• The National Park of Asinara is found on the unspoilt island of Asinara. Today it hosts rare flora and fauna while in the past it has served as a quarantine spot and also as a prison.

• Platamona has an 8 km long coastline, located 7 km from the port. The beautiful pine forest in the background offers visitors a unique combination of green and blue. It’s an organized beach, part of which dedicated to dogs!
• La Pelosa, also known as Stintino, is rocky; the waters are transparent and has a lovely view to the Pelosa Tower.
• The beach of Balai is shallow and the palm tree garden gives the area a tropical look.

• Scuba diving on the islet of Asinara, to see underwater findings from the roman era. Explore Asinara by bike, on foot or try windsurfing, swimming and horse riding.
• Take the train or bus to visit Alghero, the picturesque city of north-west Sardinia. Tour around to see the Alghero Cathedral, the Church of St. Michael, Palazzo Carcassona, Palazzo D’ Albis and Neptune’s Caves.
