• A scenic place to swim with shallow waters is Pepelow beach, 45 km from the port.
Strand Kühlungsborn is 35 km from the port. It’s organized and here you can see many of the typical wooden houses with the stripped sunshades.

Only in Rostock: The spectacular event “Lighthouse in Flames” also known as “Warnemunde Lighthouse show” takes place every year on New Year’s Day. The show at the lighthouse in the port includes hundreds of fireworks. The Hanse Sail Rostock is one of the biggest international sailing events, which was first organized in 1991. More than 200 sailing and monumental ships take part in this event, which is attended by more than a million visitors who can board on the ships themselves. For this year it is scheduled to take place from the 11th to the 14th of August.
