KARPATHOS

Astonishing Karpathos bridges Crete to Rhodes. The north part of the island is isolated, mountainous and deeply traditional. There are still people dressed according to folk tradition. Olympos is a village of unique cultural idiosyncrasy in the Dodecanese islands.

Many of the inhabitants had immigrated to the USA. Some of them returned several decades later to invest their wealth on their island.

A steep and frightful road connects (or separates) north from south.

The island offers a superb mix of mountain, sea and plain and is well served by transport. There are stunning beaches, with excellent conditions for wind surfers and divers.

With great waters, food, music, scenery and culture, Karpathos is a winning combination!

There are three ferries weekly to Rhodes and Piraeus. Ferries stop at Halki, Kasos, Sitia, Agios Nikolaos, Milos and Santorini.
