No restrictions to travel to Greece

According to the updated instructions from the Greek Government, from March
15th onwards, travelers will no longer be required to fill in the Passenger
Tracking Form (PLF) before entering Greece. The rules of entry of Greece
follow in detail.
Travel rules for international arrivals
- All travelers in Greece, except Ukrainian citizens, must submit the
mandatory passenger tracking form (PLF) at any time before the departure of
their trip. From March 15 onwards, the PLF will no longer be required for
travel to Greece.
- Travelers must hold an EU Covid Digital Certificate
(EUDCC). There are no additional restrictions for holders of the European
Union Covid Digital Certificate (EUDCC) from EU and Schengen countries and the
following 35 countries and EUDCC non-EU territories: San Marino, Albania,
Andorra, Armenia, Vatican, Northern Macedonia, Georgia, Switzerland, El
Salvador, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom, Iceland, Israel,
Liechtenstein, Liechtenstein, Liechtenstein Moldova, Monaco, Norway, New
Zealand, Ukraine, Uruguay, Panama, Cape Verde, Serbia, Singapore, Thailand,
Togo, Turkey, Tunisia, Benin, Jordan, Faroe Islands and Chinese Faroe
Islands.
- The EU Covid Digital Certificate must include one of the
following:
1) a vaccination certificate valid for nine months from the
full vaccination for Covid-19 and without a validity limit for travelers
receiving the booster dose; or
2) a certificate of recovery valid for 180
days after the date of issue or
3) a negative PCR performed within 72
hours before the trip or negative rapid test performed within 24 hours before
the trip. The rule also applies to children aged 5 and over.
Non-EUDCC holders (EU Covid digital certificate)
They need a mandatory test before entering the country. All other
incoming travelers to Greece who do not have an EUDCC (including children over
5 years old) and regardless of their vaccination status for Covid must have a
negative PCR (performed within 72 hours prior to travel) or a rapid test
result ( carried out within 24 hours before the trip) upon arrival.
Travelers from USA, Canada and Australia
Vaccinated travelers entering Greece from the United States, Canada and
Australia are exempt from additional restrictions upon arrival if they have
one of the following:
1) a vaccination certificate valid for nine months
from the full vaccination for Covid-19 and without a validity limit for
travelers receiving the booster dose; or
2) a certificate of recovery
valid for 180 days after the date of issue or
3) negative PCR performed
within 72 hours before the trip or negative rapid test performed within 24
hours before the trip.
Random rapid test on arrival
Every traveler arriving in Greece, regardless of whether they hold an
EU Covid Digital Certificate, can undergo a random fast COVID-19 test at the
airport (depending on the data provided in the PLF forms and based on the
'EVA' System ). If a passenger is selected for a rapid examination and is
positive for the coronavirus, then he must be quarantined for a total of five
days at home or in a temporary facility, as indicated by the Greek
authorities. The isolation period starts the next day, after being tested
positive for Covid-19. The mandatory quarantine may end after five days if the
passengers have no symptoms or their symptoms have subsided (no fever in the
last 24 hours without the use of antipyretics). Self-isolation is prolonged if
the fever persists until it subsides. These passengers should only wear a
highly filtered respirator mask (FFP2 or N95) or a double mask (surgical and
fabric) for at least another five days after the end of the self-isolation
period.
The use of a mask is mandatory
At
arrivals and departures within airports and ports, staff and passengers are
required to wear a face mask at all times. Passengers are also required to
comply with the instructions of the staff responsible for supervising, crowd
management and passenger assistance in order to maintain the necessary
distances and ensure safe boarding.
