No more quarantine for tourists in Greece

For asymptomatic tourists and those with mild symptoms, quarantine is no longer recommended.

According to the latest amendment to the joint ministerial decision, tourists who enter Greece and have mild symptoms or are asymptomatic are no longer required to enter quarantine and can continue their vacation normally wherever they are.

The same memorandum regarding the management of a suspected case of COVID-19 states the following:

1. Immediate notification of the health officer of the accommodation, who ensures that measures are implemented to isolate the patient in his room. A surgical mask is also provided to the patient.

2. If the patient needs hospitalization, she/he is transported by ambulance (to the health unit that has the specifications to treat patients with COVID-19.

3. Informing the EODY by the hotel's health officer about the suspected case.

4. To make use of the quarantine rooms for positive cases that need isolation.

5. Isolation of the case for 5 days is recommended for asymptomatic persons positive for COVID-19 or when they have mild symptoms.
