Vathy is the old port and the capital of Ithaki. Visit the Archaeological Museum, the Naval Folklore Museum, admire the bust of Homer, Odysseus’s statue and the monument to the Unknown Sailor. Lazareto is a small island in the bay of Vathy where you will find the 1668 Chapel of Sotiras covered in pine trees.

The romantic village Kioni with its 3 windmills.
