Attractions in Morro Jable
• The Morro Jable Lighthouse (Faro de Morro Jable) is the city’s landmark. Its height is 59 metres, and it was built in 1991.
• At the Majorero Cheese Museum (Museo del Queso Majorero) in Antigua, you will learn all about the famous majorero cheese of the Canary Islands. Since 1996 it has received the Protected Designation of Origin approval. The museum is located an hour from the port.
• The Morro Jable Sea Turtle Recovery and Conservation Center (Centro de recuperación y conservación de tortugas marinas Morrojable) is next to the port.

Beaches in Morro Jable
Playa de Cofete is one of the most stunning beaches in the Canary Islands and it is known for its a wild beauty. In 2015 it was voted as one of the 10 best beaches in Europe. It’s free, and the safest way to reach it is by bus, as the road is tough.
Playa del Matorral is a big sandy beach close to the Morro Jable Lighthouse. It is organised in some areas and for many years it has been receiving the Blue Flag award. Next to it you will find the Playa De Jandia.
Playa de Esquinzo is a sandy beach with crystal blue waters. It’s secluded, with a luxury hotel nearby.

Golfing at the Jandía Golf Course, which is surrounded by palm trees and has amazing sea view.
Canoe, paddle board, kite surf, surf and beach volley at the Playa del Matorral.
Explore the Jandia Natural Park. It is a protected area since 1987 and has sandy coasts, lagoons and dunes. The park is at the Jandia Peninsula which used to be a separate island.

Access to Morro Jable: You can reach the port by car, taxi or bus. Fuerteventura’s airport is 85 km from the port.
Corralejo is 110 km from the port. Morro Jable to Corralejo is an hour and 40 minutes by car and 3,5 hours by bus.
Puerto del Rosario is 90 km from the port. Moro Jable to Puerto del Rosario is 70 minutes by car and 2 hours by bus.
Antigua is 65 km from the port. Moro Jable to Antigua is an hour by car and 1,5 hours by bus.

Only in Morro Jable: One of the most known celebrations in Morro Jable and the entire Fuerteventura, is the festivities held in honour of the Virgen del Carmen, the patron saint of the sea. They take place every year on the 16th of July at the Jandia Gulf. The holy image of the saint parades on the Sebada beach and is followed by a procession of boats.
