The seaside town is in Sicily, at the Metropolitan City of Palermo. The Greek and Roman era have left their mark in the area which has evolved into a modern society. The city got its name from the thermal springs that come from the volcano and Himera, the Ancient Greek city that was just a short distance from the port. So, the city was known as Thermae Himerenses until its name was evolved to the one it has today.

• The Car Museum (Museo del Motorismo Siciliano e della Targa Florio di Termini Imerese) is ideal or antique lovers.
