It's the most famous cruise port in Turkey and one of the busiest ferry ports in the Turkish coasts. The city was known in the past as Ephesus Neopolis. The new name of the city, Kusadasi, means “The birds' island”. The place has developed a lot through the years and many tourists come here through the Greek island Samos.

• One of Turkey's most visited attractions is Ephesus, 20 km from the port. The remains of the ancient city as well as the Temple of Artemis have been designated as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. In the same area you can also visit the Library of Celsus. You can easily access the area with a dolmus.
• Explore Kaleici, the Old Town in Kusadasi. It's main road, the Barbaros Caddesi leads to the remains of the Ottoman walls.
• The Grand Bazaar, is the city's largest market which starts at the port and spreads in the alleys. It's the perfect place to do bargaining and buy shisha, pottery, fabrics and hammam towels.

• The Green Beach is surrounded by palm trees, which along with the sandy coast, create a tropical scenery.
• Very close to the port there is a secluded beach, Yılancı Burnu.
• The Kadinlar Denizi, also known as Ladies Beach, is just 2 km from the port. It is sandy with many coffee shops nearby and water sports facilities like Jet Ski and jet car.
• Kustur is 6 km from the port and offers water sports like surf and water ski.
