There are at least 2 ferries daily to Piraeus, Mykonos and Tinos. Ferries travel daily to Paros and Naxos, Mykonos, Tinos and Andros and weekly to Amorgos, Ios, Milos, Santorini and Crete. Also, ferries connect Syros to Sikinos, Folegandros, Lavrio, Kos, Rhodes, Leros and Thessaloniki.

Astypalea is connected four times a week in summer to Piraeus via Naxos and Paros. A ferry based in Kalymnos, runs thrice weekly, linking the island with Kalymnos and islands further north in the Dodecanese.
