Greek destinations with natural spas

Some spas are housed in buildings with impressive mosaics and intricate architecture. Others are hidden in beaches only the locals know of. Yes, we are talking about natural spas found on the Greek islands, that some of us visit in order to relieve chronic conditions, and others just for pure rejuvenation! Greece is endowed with that special physiology where mountains and volcanoes create hot springs, natural pools and clay beaches, thus making the spa experience a luxury accessible to every visitor, especially in the quiet winter months when tourist traffic slows down. Do not forget to consult your doctor before organizing a spa trip to the islands, especially if you plan to visit hot springs, as in some cases they might not be the ideal remedy. But as soon as you are free to go, book your tickets for a unique relaxation experience with cheap ferry tickets through Let's Ferry and combine fun with wellness.

Kefalonia - Xi Beach
It has been described with words such as red, eerie, refreshing. Truth is that all three characteristics describe it perfectly since it is a beach very different from the ones you would expect to typically encounter on an island. The sand has an earthy red color, causing an almost artistic contrast with the blue, shallow waters. On the rocks you can find clay, which if you mix with water, within minutes you have a complete beauty mask for your face and body. You will see many visitors covered with layers of clay, lying on the sand, walking on the shore or relaxing on their loungers, creating a very strange scenery. This weird, healing Kefalonian beach is long, while in some spots it is organized and in others it is free and without loungers to rent. It has restaurants and cafes and it is accessible by both car and bus. It is close to Lixouri and 50 km away from the port of Sami.

Kythnos - Loutra
The only thermal springs of the Cyclades complex are located in Kythnos, and this is the reason it used to be called "Thermia" (deriving from the greek word for ‘warm'). On the island of Kythnos you will find the Kakavos source which contains iodine, bromide and sodium chloride and the waters have a temperature of 52°C. The Agioi Anargyroi source has saline waters with a temperature of 38°C. Waters from both sources end up in the Hydrotherapy Center of the island and it has been scientifically proven that they are indicated for the treatment of rheumatic, arthritic and gynecological diseases. On site you will find hot tubs and private baths.
